Our chaplain has served us faithfully for over fourteen years! He has never been one to push his views on our employees, but rather he takes the time to try to get to know them as they allow him to. Over time he is able to determine the best way to serve that individual; be it as a spiritual guide, a counselor or even a friend. Life’s personal challenges can affect the work world. Therefore, our chaplain is not only a benefit to our employees from a support standpoint, he also helps them have a comfortable place to discuss life issues when they need guidance. As they gain direction on these issues, they are able to lead happier, more productive lives which of course serves our business well. Often times we think of supporting our employees with financial bonuses, retirement plans, insurance coverage, etc. , but what do we do to help them on a more personal level? This where our chaplain comes in. He lets the employees know we care very much about their personal well-being on every front. He is there not only during his visits to the dealership, but he makes himself available when employees need him for a phone call, a trip to the hospital, or to offer support at the funeral of a loved one. He believes in sharing God’s love not only through his words but through his actions. We certainly recommend that as a business owner you strongly consider bringing a chaplain on your team-ours has been an absolute blessing to the Hadwin-White organization. J. Hadwin, Gen Mgr.

I have had the pleasure of working with our chaplain for over 10 years. I have a unique perspective because I have seen him interact with employees at two different businesses. When I was employed at Coca Cola Consolidated, we were one of the first companies in the area to employ a chaplain service. I watched as our chaplain got to know our employees on a personal level and saw the comfort with which they interacted. I have seen countless times when an employee had no one to help or talk to and he was always there. Funerals, weddings and sickness were just a few of the events that he helped facilitate or gave suggestions to impacted employees. When I had my own personal tribulations with the loss of a long time job, he remained there for me even though he was no longer being “paid” to provide a service. . . . In today’s competive work environment, a chaplain service provides a point of difference. There are many employees who do not attend a church and have no one to lean on in a time of crisis or during a time of jubilation such as a wedding. I have personally seen our chaplain in action and without question would highly recommend him to your business. He does satisfy a niche in your Human Resources package. He has been a blessing to me personally as well as countless employees and their families. A. Hovermale, Operations Mgr

Our chaplain has been someone I connected with on a mental as well as spiritual level. He goes over and beyond what he is expected to do. He doesn’t pass judgment on anyone and is someone I feel I can trust when dealing with personal issues. He even met with my wife and I when we were having issues in our marriage and to be honest, saved our marriage. He is someone I would recommend for spiritual uplifting, counseling, teaching and overall friendship. M. J. Grisset, Delivery Driver

We have had a chaplain for 14 years. Over the years, I have spent a lot of time with him at my work, at the churches where he’s speaking and at the Sunday Celebrations on the Boardwalk, which he had the vision for and organized. When we get our weekly visits, I’ve watched him walk the property and greet every person by name with a handshake and a smile. That’s pretty good with the hundred plus employees we have. Everyone knows if you need to talk or if you have something on your chest he is the man to talk to. It doesn’t matter if it’s problems at home, problems with health or problems with work. All he wants to do is help. I believe he helps to boost morale among the employees because of his positive attitude. If you’re having a bad day, he will just put his hand on your shoulder, pray for you and the next thing you know everything seems to be all right. B. Lynch, Bulk Driver

I am writing you to tell you a little bit about our chaplain and the blessing he has been not only in my families’ personal lives but in my work life as well. He performed my brother’s wedding ceremony which was beautiful and he was there for my entire family when my mom had open heart surgery. He prayed with us and stayed with us the entire time. He has truly been a blessing. He is at the hotel once a week visiting all the staff and checking in on all of us. He is there to listen and pray for us. He has been there for so many of my co-workers in time of need. It is a sense of comfort to know that when we are down and out or need a prayer, we know that he is a phone call away. We are so blessed to have him as a part of our work family. C. Sanchez, Director of Sales
